ISIL hostage executioner identified: FBI

Zurich, Switzerland – On Thursday, the U.S. reportedly identified the militant of the Islamic State (IS/ISIL) who beheaded the two American journalists and British aid worker.

According to the FBI chief, the hostage executioner, who appeared in several videos online, was uncovered.

“We believe we have identified the executioner, said James Comey, the FBI Director, on Thursday. However, Comey insisted to keep the name of the suspect confidential at the moment. 

On the other hand, as the UK intelligence revealed that the former London rapper, Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary, is believed to be the one who appeared in the beheading videos, known as ‘Jihadi John’.

According to reports, the suspect, Abdel Bary, 24, was identified via voice comparisons.

Earlier this year, Bary, who left London to join the ranks of the Islamic State (IS/ISIL) in Syria, drew attention by posting an image of himself on Twitter while holding a severed head.

Although the FBI didn’t announce yet the name of the identified hostage executioner, observers believe that the suspect is Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary.
